Jeff and Sylvie were excellent sitters for both Lola our dog and the house. They communicated in advance really well and came around to run through the sit and aspects of the house. They kept us informed during the sit and clearly Lola was enjoying their company and normal life at home (rather than having to be elsewhere). Jeff & Sylvie did an outstanding job of leaving our house super tidy and wonderfully clean. They very kindly even left us a meal in the fridge knowing we were getting back late with the kids. Would really recommend them to anyone and also welcome them back to our house. We wish them safe travels and hopefully see them again soon!

Let me begin by saying that Jeff and Sylvie are absolutely brilliant. This was the second time they cared for our cat and our house; this time, we were away for over 3 weeks, getting married and going on a honeymoon, so it was crucial to have someone reliable, organised and independent to take over our home – after all, we already had lots going on. We were so happy and relieved to find out that Jeff and Sylvie were available and wanted to come back to London – I had no doubts that having them in the house, we wouldn’t worry at all about anything to do with our home and our cat, and would be able to focus on the final wedding prep and then enjoying the honeymoon – and I was right. They were the perfect couple for the task and we trust them completely. They took excellent care of everything: our cat was healthy, happy and relaxed on our return, the flat was super clean, we had a delecious meal and snacks waiting for us, and my avocado tree has never looked better! They updated us on how things were going just the right amount, as discussed when we met on arrival. 5 stars all the way and would highly recommend to everyone – if you have Jeff and Sylvie applying for a stay at your house, then you’re in luck! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Jeff and Sylvie are outstanding cat and house sitters. They looked after our cats and home for two weeks and we had such peace of mind while we were away as Jeff and Sylvie are such experienced sitters, they are trustworthy, sensible and all round kind, warm and interesting people. We’ve only ever had positive experiences of people cat sitting for us, but Sylvie and Jeff took it to another level. I would recommend them to anyone. We came home to healthy, relaxed cats and Sylvie and Jeff had cleaned the house until it was sparkling, done all the laundry and made us a beautiful meal on our return as well as getting us loads of groceries. Unbelievably lovely to come home to after being away. We’re so grateful.

Honestly, I’d give ten stars out of five if I could! Jeff and Sylvie were wonderful, from the first video call we had with them to when we got back to our house after our holiday. They communicated well from the start and they arrived the evening before we left which was great because we could show them around the house and the cats could get to know them before we left. They were so lovely and I felt very comfortable leaving them to take care of our home and our two cats. They sent us updates and photos during our stay and we got home to find our house spotless and the cats looking very healthy and happy. Our plants looked healthier than they had been thanks to Sylvie’s green fingers! Not only that, but Jeff had mowed the lawn and Sylvie had cooked us a delicious welcome home meal which was sooooo appreciated as we arrived home in the early evening and wouldn’t have had time to cook anything. They were so kind and thoughtful throughout the whole stay. We are very much hoping that they will be able to sit for us again when we go away. Thank you so much Jeff and Sylvie xxx

Sylvie and Jeff were wonderful house guests / pet sitters. They were prompt with responding to messages from the beginning. Asked all the right questions and put me at ease before they even arrived. I have a cat that is cautious around men, but within a few hours, Jeff and Whisky were best buddies!
 I came home to a very tidy flat, washed linen (not needed but I am grateful), and very happy cats! Plus, Sylvie made a delicious 2 course meal for my arrival! I would 100% recommend Jeff and Sylvie for anyone looking for reliable/loving house sitters. I would be delighted for them to come stay again in the future!

Even though it was only a night, we are so happy with Jeff and Sylvie’s stay with our kitties and at our home. We had an issue with our boiler during the week and they went out of their way to help with being around for not one but two engineers visits. I’m not sure where to begin, but I’m sitting here typing this while happily munching on one of the meals Sylvie and Jeff thoughtfully prepared and left for me so I wouldn’t have to cook supper when I got home. I am a bit overwhelmed at how amazing and thoughtful they are. From the very first Zoom chat I knew they would take superb care of my cats and my home and they exceeded my expectations! I arrived home yesterday to a beautifully clean and tidy flat, delicious food for me and 3 very happy, contented cats who were happy to see me but not really phased by me being away for a few weeks which is exactly what I was hoping for. Jeff and Sylvie kept me up to date with how they were getting on and how the cats were bonding with them which made it so easy for me to relax and focus on being present with my family and friends in Canada. There are no words to express how wonderful they were and how glad I am they were able to care for my brood and flat. I would have them back in an instant and have said that if they ever need a place to stay in Glasgow, they are always welcome! I hope they take me up on it one day. If you’re considering Jeff and Sylvie as your pet sitters, consider no longer and book them immediately! 🙂

Jeff and Sylvie were tremendous house and dog sitters. I would recommend them again anytime, any day to anyone and I would love to have them sit for our dog and household again. For context, our elderly dog started to have some coughing issues that required a vet visit right before our holiday. I had concerns about leaving her with sitters with all her medicine requirements, plus I wasn’t sure how she would feel about it either. I should not have been concerned. Jeff and Sylvie followed the medicine and instructions to a T; they provided updates on how she was feeling and doing, and as progress points were met we all celebrated them with text messages. They were so tidy; they even cooked and left us a little dinner when we returned home late from our delayed flight. Overall, the best communicators and care takers and anyone would be lucky to have them stay at their homes.

Jeff and Sylvie are the sweetest people and fantastic house sitters. Some of the things I appreciated the most about their short stay: – They came for handover punctual and with a clear idea of what they needed to know. They organized their trip so that they could be there the night before and meet me in person. – They went above and beyond, with a true caring attitude. They helped me with picking up a food delivery, left the apartment cleaner than they found it, washed the sheets and made the bed, and even cooked a delicious meal for me! – My flight was canceled and I came back home one day later than expected, they immediately offered to go feed my babies since they were still in town, and they went twice, even though it was their last day in the city and they probably had better plans.. – They really love animals. I could immediately tell and so could my cats (at least Gigio, Maci would never let us know). It gave me sone extra peace of mind leaving my fur babies knowing they would be loved. They are very competent on plants as well and took very good care of mine. I would definitely recommend Jeff and Sylvie as housesitters, they are lovely and generous people. Hope I’ll get to meet them again ☺️

I truly recommend Jeff and Sylvie! They are not only amazing people that genuinely care about pets, but also two individuals with really inspiring way of living. From the first moment I felt that they are trustworthy and very experienced in caring for animals. The questions they asked, the way they were talking about animals – we felt Leelou and Harry will be in great hands. They arrived to Helsinki one day early to make sure there are no surprises around their arrival (delayed or cancelled flight etc.), which was greatly appreciated. We also wanted to see them when we came back home so that we can say a proper goodbye – it was nice to reconnect with them before their Finnish road trip. Not even mentioning that the house was even cleaner than before our departure and that a delicious meal made by Sylvie was waiting for us as a welcome gift! 🙂 We were receiving updates and pictures every day from Jeff. The cats loved their company and felt really comfortable with them – they barely noticed we came back home 😀 In case of any questions/ doubts, Jeff would always reach out to double-check what to do. I cannot recommend them enough and I hope to see them in Helsinki again next year! Jeff and Sylvie are excellent pet and house sitters we can highly recommend to everybody! We don’t have so much experience with house sitters yet. Therefore, we have been a bit nervous, also knowing that are two cats, Nelly and Noel, are frightened and very shy at the beginning and therefore don’t make the start easy for pet sitters. But we were lucky and Jeff and Sylvie applied as sitters and we could not have imagined better sitters for Nelly and Noel. Jeff and Sylvie are both very professional and have a lot of experience as house and pet sitters. Thanks to that, communication was very clear from the beginning, they updated as regularly about their flight to Germany so that we knew that everything is going on how planned and this gave us a very good feeling. During our vacation, Jeff and Sylvie updated as daily about everything going on at home. As we already mentioned, our cats are very shy but luckily, Jeff and Sylvie have a lot of experience with cats. They noticed immediately that Nelly and Noel both are very gentle and sweet but just need their time to get customized with new people. We were so glad to read that they loved them from the very beginning also they were just hiding the first days. After some days, Nelly and Noel forgot their shyness and played and cuddled with both of them. Sylvie and Jeff not only took care about our cats but also about our apartment and plants. When we came home from our vacation, the apartment was very clean and exactly in the condition we left it. They also washed the bed sheets, so our bed was fully made when we came back home. Sylvie was so nice to even cook a welcome meal for us. Thanks to that, we were welcomed by our two happy and relaxed lovely cats and just had to warm up the very delcicious meal Sylvie made for us and we had a very relaxing start back at home. Words are not enough to express how satisfied and grateful we are to Jeff and Sylvie. I knew right away that Helmi had the best possible people to take care of her. Our old lady is a bit stubborn and she has her own funny ways but I didn’t even dare to hope that Helmi for example could sleep next to them like she always sleeps with us but Jeff and Sylvie surprised us. I’m sure that Helmi misses them. Giving medicines as well went really well even tough Helmi knows how to make it difficult. Our home and garden was so well taken care of and our home has probably never been so clean. It looked like Jeff and Sylvie had been working hard the whole time but I hope that they also had time to enjoy being here. A very delicious home cooked meal and wonderful pie and apple crumble were waiting for us at home and we ate too much. As I wrote, words are not enough to express how wonderful and lovely people Jeff and Sylvie are and we are so grateful that we got them into our home taking care of Helmi and got to know this amazing couple.

They followed our house notes perfectly (it may sound silly, but you’d be surprised how many don’t) The animals were cared for thoughtfully, and we received regular updates and photos, which meant we felt confident our mixed bag of animals were all being looked after, and happy, this enabled us to relax and enjoy our holiday. The icing on the cake was returning to an immaculate house and a delightful feast. Jeff & Sylvie go above and beyond, and we highly, highly recommend. If you get a message saying Jeff and Sylvie are free to house sit for you then don’t think twice, snap them up straight away! I can only add to their other amazing reviews and echo that they are both lovely, caring and considerate. Our dog Roddy adored them from day 1 and we could see why. They treated our family home with care and I am pretty sure that Sylvie left everything cleaner than we had, my saucepans were shiny! Of course that’s not why you need a house / dog sitter but it was an added bonus. We felt 100% happy whilst we were away for our 2 week holiday and couldn’t have asked for more form our first experience of house sitters. Our Quooker tap broke whilst they were staying and Jeff did his level bet to sort it and even descaled our back up kettle. They were also helpful with things like sending a forgotten password for a school project etc. The icing on the cake was the amazing home cooked meal they left for us to enjoy when we arrived home, so welcome after a night flight. We would use them again in a heart beat, although I know they are so fantastic that they may not have a free slot! Sylvie and Jeff were everything we had hoped for – a thoroughly nice, reliable, modest and very conscientious couple. They kept us up to date with how things were going and sent us photos regularly. As we stayed away longer than their sitting period, they even made an instruction video for the sitters who came after them and explained everything in detail to the new sitters. They left the house thoroughly cleaned, swept up all the leaves from the terrace, washed and changed the towels and the bedsheets, cleaned the house including the main windows, emptied the fire shed and cleaned inside the fireplace, replaced what they used up and so on. Sylvie even made us a welcome home meal in the freezer. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and we hope they’ll want to come back to our house again! What a superb and charming couple Jeff and Sylvie are for our first house sitting experience. We were leaving fairly early am on the first morning of the sitting however Jeff and Sylvie were able to stay with us the night before we left so we got to meet them, have dinner and brief them how things worked and the routine for Fleur and Lily They had diligently read through the Welcome pack so this briefing was quick and easy. Clearly, they had been here many times before. Originally Jeff is from London and Sylvie from Paris. We have been to Paris many times and is one of our favorite cities. Needless to say, we quickly felt at ease in their company and spent a very pleasant evening together. We formed a WhatsApp group and kept in touch whist we were away; Jeff and Sylvie regularly sending photos and updating us on Fleur and Lily (so reassuring), the post and parcels that seemed to turn up on a regular basis and the man that came to service the boiler! Fleur (a ragdoll kitten 7 months old) already the size of a normal adult was finding it difficult to use the cat flap and likes to playfully torment Lilly (who is 8 and very laid back). Lily gets fed up with Fleur but won’t retaliate. Jeff and Sylvie all but fixed this whilst we were away – clearly cat whisperers!! All very good whilst we were away but it gets even better. On our return (early evening) Sylvie had prepared a Parisian style dinner (it lasted us for 3 days!!) the fridge was stocked with essentials and the house was absolutely “spick and span”! An absolute 5 star couple and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to other house owners and look forward to welcoming them back in the not too distant future.

We could not have asked for 2 better people to pet sit for us! Jeff & Sylvie are absolutely amazing at paying attention to details. I never once worried about the welfare and safety of our cats, nor did I worry about their comfort  or happiness while we were away. Jeff took detailed notes on all of our routines and our preferences. They were both very respectful of our home and our space, staying comfortably aside during the times we were all in the home together. I recieved several photos while we were gone showing how well everyone was doing. We returned to a house cleaner than we left it – the fridge was even thoroughly cleaned (something I detest doing). They had a meal prepared for us when we walked in the door and it was delicious! They were quick to get back to us both before the sit and during. We enjoyed every extra minute we spent with them so much so we offered to let them stay longer after we returned. The 2 of them went above and beyond the level of care we expected: brushing our cats, spending time with our fosters, and even feeding the local cats that live in the neighborhood like I do when I’m home. It was an absolute pleasure to meet them, have them in our home, having them caring for our furry family members and, I hope, making them lifelong friends! We can’t thank them enough for everything they did.

Jeff and Sylvie were well organised pet-sitters. Their communication with us was clear and prompt. They took Covid protocols seriously and left our apartment in perfect condition. They asked careful questions about the care of our pets, which we appreciated. Their flexibility and kind understanding when we accidentally forgot to leave them a key was most appreciated. Jeff and Sylvie made 2020 look bright again !!!! Not only did they take care of our Rocksy like he was theirs, they also welcomed us back home with the most thoughtful gesture ever: delicious homemade dish and desert were waiting for us in our fridge as well as plenty of fruits and a very nice card full of kind words. During the sit, they regularly sent us pics of them with Rocksy either walking or cuddling. Perfect sit ! I highly recommend them! Surely hope to have them sit for us again.

Jeff and Sylvie were absolutely outstanding guests. Super friendly and reliable, and the cats immediately fell in love with them. They were always in contact with me when anything came up, and sent regular updates about my cats. I loved the pictures <3 They treated my home with a lot of care and left it cleaner than before! I was really impressed how thoughtful they were about little details which made me feel very at ease on my travels, and made me feel super welcome when returning back home. I can’t thank you two enough! I would be delighted to welcome you back into my home anytime and can only recommend this experience to anyone! Thank you Jeff and Sylvie, it was truly a pleasure! Jeff and Sylvie are the best of people – such kind and beautiful souls! I was super worried whether I would be able to find suitable people for my spoiled fur baby as my travel dates were finalized very much last minute. I struck gold, however, with the best sitters I could ever imagine. The communication with Jeff was quick, pleasant, detailed, and on spot at all times. This was my first trustedhousesitters experience, and having such seasoned sitters as Jeff and Sylvie to go through it with has made it super easy and comfortable. They even arrived into town one day before the sit, so we could meet and talk about all the details in person, since my flight was super early the next morning. During the sit, they regularly kept in touch and sent photos and videos of Ditto at exactly the right moments. Just when I would be thinking “oh, I miss my baby, wonder how he is doing” a message would arrive with a photo or a video that would put a smile on my face. It was clear that Ditto loved them, as well. Jeff and Sylvie did not leave my place exactly as they found it – they left it in better shape than it was when they came in. Everything was spotless, neat, and wonderfully clean. The fridge was full… there was even dinner, dessert, and wine waiting for us. And Ditto was super chill, his fur shiny and soft, his belly full. I really cannot come up with superlatives good enough to express how great Jeff and Sylvie are. I can only repeat the words of one of the previous reviews I read on their profile when they first got in touch with me – if you are lucky enough to have Jeff and Sylvie apply for your sit, count your blessings and be assured that both your house and your pet(s) will be in best possible hands while you are gone.

Dog and Cat Sit: Chloe – London, UK 16 – 24 Feb 2020

Jeff and Sylvie are such a fantastic couple, it was lovely to meet them and to hear a little about their amazing adventures. We had exchanged a few emails in the lead up to the sit and they arrived with time to show them around and so they could get to know Roku and Bronte before we left. We went away with total confidence knowing that the house and Roku and Bronte would be well looked after. They kept in touch to let us know how everything was going. This is especially comforting to us with Bronte who is now very old and frail and it’s always nice to hear that Roku is enjoying himself! Unfortunately, our fridge broke down while we were away and they were very understanding about it while we tried to sort out having a new one delivered. It really wasn’t ideal for them but they couldn’t have been nicer about it. We returned home to two very relaxed pets, an immaculate house, a delicious home baked cake and wonderful meal. It was really so lovely and thoughtful of them to provide us with that after our journey. We can’t recommend them highly enough and hope to keep in touch with them and that maybe they can come and look after Roku and Bronte again one day.

If you are lucky enough to have Jeff and Sylvie apply to be your sitters, grab their offer ASAP!! Such a lovely couple. What can I say, they were a delight to have here and they looked after our two kittens and home beautifully. Our cats were so well looked after and they even learnt a few things whilst we were away. Sylvie and Jeff are great with animals. Jeff and Sylvie’s reviews are excellent and being fairly new to Trusted House sitters this was important to us and they didn’t disappoint. We also had a delicious meal ready for us on our return – a lovely evening had with them and the house was immaculate. Jeff and Sylvie are a really lovely couple and will always be welcome to stay here anytime they are in town.

Cat Sit: Muriel – Balham, UK 10 – 21 Aug 2019

We have been very lucky to have Jeff and Sylvie as our sitters during our Summer Holidays. We had a very comforting first conversation over the phone, where Jeff asked many relevant questions. Jeff and Sylvie arrived the afternoon before our early morning flight the next day, and we were delighted to get to know them. The communication was always very fluid, we received almost daily news from Archie. Archie started to have diarrhea a week after our departure (it happens from time to time) and Jeff and Sylvie have taken it very seriously: they called Trustedhousesitters’ Vet line, stayed home a full day to check on him, called the Pet Hospital on a Sunday to get their views, and went to our Vet to get some medicines which enabled him to recover. When we came back, we found a very clean house, clean bedsheets in our bedroom, two delicious home-cooked meals, a detailed “hand-over note” for our cat and our house, and a happy and playful cat! Thank you very much again Jeff and Sylvie for being so kind, thoughtful, reliable and caring, we hope to welcome you again soon!

Jeff and Sylvie looked after our house and pets without any problems, both sadie and izzy was spoilt rotten, when we returned there was a lovely meal waiting for us and a beautiful clean house and a fridge full off food, they also managed our garden which is very large, many thanks to you both

I really enjoyed meeting Jeff and Sylvie, and they we absolute super-stars for the house sit. I was lucky enough to spend an evening chatting with them and hearing all about their travels and their love of cooking (thank you!), films and fantastic travel experiences and plans. Zena and Mia were so very chilled, sleek and well brushed when i returned home. When i got home, the flat was looking very well cared for, and I was lucky enough to experience Sylvie’s cooking – thank you so much. I do hope our paths cross again, and you would always be welcome here.

Dog and Cat Sit: Kimmy – Burghfield, UK 6 – 9 May 2019

Jeff and Sylvie were just fantastic and went above and beyond in their house sit. Zuma and Loki had clearly been very well looked after, and we were left with the most delicious meal on our arrival home! So much so that i had to ask for the recipe – it was absolutely fantastic 🙂 They are the sweetest and kindest couple and i really couldn’t have asked for me whilst we were away. I returned home to a spotless house, clean sheets on the bed and nice clean towels. The dirty washing was also washed and dried – just amazing and was very much appreciated 🙂 I would very much love Jeff and Sylvie to house sit again as I felt so at ease leaving them with Zuma and Loki. Jeff and Sylvie looked after my tabby cat Nero for 5 days end of September 2018. They are lovely people and were very organised before arrival. Whilst I was away they sent me some great photos of Nero and kept me up to date with how he was doing. They played lots of games with Nero so i know he must have had a great time too. I didn’t need to worry about anything! I returned to a sparkling clean home, their bedding and towels washed and dried, and Sylvie had even left me dinner in the fridge! Rabbits Sit: Victoria – South Wingfield, UK 17-21 Sep 2018

Jeff and Sylvie were perfect house-sitters, arriving the night before so we could leave early, and staying back late when we got stuck in traffic. Our home and our pets had clearly been well cared for, and they even looked after us, having a delicious meal waiting for us when we got in! Cat Sit: Skye – Brussels, Belgium 8 – 15 Sep 2018

This was Jeff and Sylvie’s first housesit and my gosh, did they ever hit it out of the park! They are the sweetest couple and are so thoughtful and were so focused on the wellbeing of our kitty. They sent us regular updates on both the house and the cat. We never felt for a second that anything was amiss. We came home to a very happy (and spoiled) kitty who had been given a new toy (which they made) by her foster parents. The house was absolutely immaculate when we arrived home. They went above and beyond in every way to make our vacation and homecoming were the most relaxing ever. We came home to a lovely card and a beautifully cooked meal and nothing else do to but unpack our bags. They also left us a detailed list of all the happenings with kitty and the apartment while we were away. I have no reservations whatsoever about recommending them as pet/housesitters. They are fantastic and we will definitely have them back if their schedule allows. We wish them all the best on the next step in their ’round-the-world’ adventure and hope to see them again very soon! Jeff and Sylvie – Thank you so much for everything. You guys are rock stars! 🙂
